Resounding support from installers for the return of the PHEX exhibition series
To say it has been quite a year for live events in general would be a complete understatement.
The global pandemic has impacted us all in our personal and professional lives and its direct effect on in person events has been unprecedented.
It’s with relief that we are now seeing the successful national rollout of the vaccination programme and that life in general is starting to open up again.
Thankfully the plumbing and heating installer sector has benefited from being able to work throughout the pandemic and the market is exceptionally busy of late.
Government approved test events
We have watched with interest the recent rollout of mass crowd trials.
Nine large-scale events were held across the UK, including the Brit Awards, FA Cup final, indoors business gathering and a music festival in Liverpool.
All those that attended these events were exempt from the majority of Coronavirus rules.
The events were held in a bid to track the impact of large-scale events as the Government plans to allow the return of big crowds this summer.
So far they have yielded very positive results, with just 15 people reportedly contracting Covid-19 out of roughly 60,000 who took part.
The industry is ready to reconnect at PHEX this year
PHEX is the longest established trade exhibition series serving the plumbing and heating installer and contractor community.
It’s been trading for over 25 years and has built a reputation for staging lively and informative events at key sporting venues across the UK.
In preparation for the return of our live events this year, we have been extensively researching our loyal visitor base over the past three years.
We have been bowled over by the level of support shown for the return of PHEX.
